Snow School
The Hiawatha Highlands Snow School is a unique opportunity to introduce students to outdoor winter recreational activities (Cross-country Skiing or Snowshoeing) and Algoma’s beautiful nature. The Snow School encourages self-confidence, a healthy lifestyle and the love of the outdoors.
Our experienced, certified coaches and instructors encourage a fun, healthy and safe environment, while challenging students to learn new skills. The full day program is primarily suited to students in grade 4 to grade 8, but can accommodate high school grades as well.
The Snow School Program includes:
• Choice of activity: skiing, snowshoeing or both
• Day pass
• Lesson
• Equipment Rental
• Bus Transportation (city limits only)
• Space for lunch
• Free participation for teachers and chaperones
Pricing (per student)
10-19 students- $35
20-45 students - $30
Pricing is per student and inclusive of HST. No discount is offered for students with their own equipment or a season’s pass.

Snow School is available Tuesday-Friday from mid-January to mid-March, 10am-2pm.

Know Before You Go
• All participants must complete our waiver form prior to arrival.
• Remind all students to dress appropriately for outdoor winter activities (ie: snow pants, hat, mitts, boots). We do not recommend students wear jeans or running shoes.
• Final class numbers must be provided 7 days prior to the Snow School visit date.
• Hiawatha Highlands will arrange for school bus transportation within city limits. Pick up is usually 9:15-9:30am.
• Children with special needs are welcome, provided their support person(s) attend, if required.
Cancellation
You may cancel your visit up to 14 days prior to your confirmed Snow School visit date without penalty. If you cancel within 14 days of visit, you will be charged a $100+HST administration fee.
Hiawatha Highlands will cancel the Snow School visit if the temperature is forecasted to -18C or colder on the day of visit or weather conditions are unsafe. If this occurs, Hiawatha Highlands will make every effort to re-book the class, and if unable to do so, provide a full refund.
