Race Program
Young skiers who have progressed through the Jackrabbits program may wish to continue to develop skills, maintain friendships and improve technique by joining Racing Rabbits or one of the Race Teams. Race Programs offer participants more instructional and practice time on skis, as well as the opportunity to compete in regional and national Nordic ski races. Race Programs are led by Head Coach, Declan McDougall.
Participation in Summer and Fall Dryland Training is encouraged for all racing levels.
The Race Program is offered through the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club (SFNSC), operator of Hiawatha Highlands. To participate in Child and Youth Race Programs you and/or your family must become SFNSC members.
Levels:
Racing Rabbits - 10-13 years
Tuesday or Thursdays 6:30pm-8pm & Saturdays 10am-12pm
Junior Ski Team - 12-14 years
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm-8pm, Saturdays 10am-12pm
Senior Ski Team - 14-18 years
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm-8pm, Saturdays 10am-12pm
